Painter, Printmaker
Neil Leinwohl was born in Brooklyn and raised on Long Island. After graduating Freeport High School in 1964, he received a scholarship to attend the School Of Visual Arts in New York City. He left school in 1966 to enlist in the Army and served as a photographer with the 20th Engineer Brigade in Viet Nam, and the 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg. He left the Army in 1969 to return to SVA as an evening student and begin his career in advertising, which he recently retired from.
Neil currently spends his time making art in Rockville Centre where he lives with his wife Sela. . |
